I decided it’s about time I write something in English again. So here goes.

I’ve been experimenting with musical genres lately. It all began during August, when I found a song called ”Fader vaar” by Vaakevandring, a Norweigan blacken metal band. Since then I’ve been experimenting with what I call extreme genres, and I’ve discovered that there is some really great music to be found within the extreme metal genres like doom metal, death metal and black metal. I still don’t like the non-melodic stuff though. A few new favourite artists are Antestor, Mourn in Silence and Vanguard.

I’ve also that if I experiment with extreme genres in one direction, I also end up experimenting with genres that are extreme in the other direction. New artists here include Alison Krauss and Yonder Mountain String Band. Kind of odd, I never thought I’d like that kind of music too much…

Well, I have a lecture in half an hour, time to go.
